Herrlich Ehrlich in Trier

Wonderfully honest is always a highlight! Super delicious fresh food, even now during the lockdown the delivery service is highly recommended. The portions are really big and varied and so delicious, this time we even got a bottle of wine :) I can particularly recommend the vegetarian platter for two. And if you can eat on site, the cozy atmosphere and the view of the Moselle are indescribably beautiful. Very great recommendation! :)

Furniture a bit spartan. Each chair is unique from wobbly to ancient. Toilets should still be from Roman times, but clean. 5 espresso 5 different cups. Starters and main course were very good. Recommended. Staff hospitable and cared for. Top.

We were there for the first time and ......... it was very tasty! Nice service and very attentive. My steak in the composition with the side dishes was absolutely brilliant. One star less ...... the food could have been a bit warmer but we were still very satisfied 😀👍🏼

Cozy atmosphere in the backyard, inside very limited space therefore fully booked weeks in advance (make a reservation), delicious Arabic dishes that have their price (slightly excessive in terms of portion sizes), service was nice, unfortunately only one vegetarian main course

Very great and cozy restaurant with very tasty, unusual and lovingly prepared dishes that make you want more. If you are looking for something outside of Schnitzel and Flieten, this is the place for you. The staff and the owner are always friendly and the dishes are well worth the price. I always go to eat there with joy.

very nice outside terrace. partly with lounge furniture and many other dining areas. Great view of the Moselle. Reservation for the desired place is not possible. Arabic-oriented cuisine with fresh ingredients. Price performance of the starters wasn't right for us very small portions and high prices. Unfortunately, the main courses only have one vegetarian dish ... Waiters are uncoordinated but still very hard working and friendly ...

I went to Herrlich Ehrlich Essen with my family today and unfortunately our meal was forgotten. That can definitely happen and I know it because I work in the restaurant myself. However, a month ago when I was eating there, my reservation was completely forgotten and I didn't get a real table. So I've been there twice now, and twice been disappointed. The waiters were super nice and understanding and tried to make the best of the situation (a round of drinks on the house, etc.) But I would still think it would be nice if the organization were maybe a little better / you hire more people when it's so stressful. The food was definitely delicious and the ambience is great :-) It's a shame that things went bad twice now. I hope everything works out next time. best regards

Cool location and nice and friendly staff, although a wedding had to be managed at the same time. The food, however, was the highlight of the evening, delicious, nicely presented and, above all, not the usual but extraordinary. Unfortunately, I was not told the recipes. When we're in the area again, a visit is firmly planned.

We turned up on a Friday night. They found us a table, even though they were busy and set up for social distance dining. The food was to die for and staff helpful even though we don't speak German. Only downside cash only.

Was there for the second time yesterday. Everything was fine on the first visit. Prices are in the very high range. This time it was a total letdown, service was quite disinterested and not trained on some dishes when asked. With what feels like 10 meals on the menu, you have to expect the staff to have more than 2 answers to questions. This time the food was very bland, no comparison to the first visit. After the meal, the service cleared the table and was then no longer to be seen. It wasn't until the third attempt to pay that someone came. That only cash payment is possible should obviously be displayed on the website and in the restaurant!

Unfortunately our last minute online reservation did not come through, while the whole terrace was full. This was immediately resolved with two glasses of sparkling wine from the house and after 25 minutes a table became available. Very friendly service, delicious food, good combinations of ingredients and dishes with an eye for detail. Really recommended for a walk from the city center! Pay attention; only cash payment, but the ATM around the corner is open 24/7.

Very nice food. The stuffed chicken breast with spinache and mash was delicious. And they have of course Kraft beer.

Visited for a dinner this place with all the hype around it lately, which describes itself as an "Arabic-German-Indian-American-French-whatever it takes to bring customers in" restaurant. The food was much less impressive than the hype. I picked the most expensive item of the small and poor menu, the roasted beef (19e), turned out to be a little portion of beef meat roasted by itself - very bad idea because it drys out the whoole peace (which was not of the best quality in the first place..). The Sartar-Chili-Pommes side dish was nice, although not much smell of zaatar in it. The Libanesische Vorspeisen was also a big dissapointment as all the ingredients were typicall stuff that one can buy in Kaufland across the road. The hummus and baba ganusch lacked the scent of a freshly made product, the flatbread was too little, the beans, olives and taboule were OK with the falafel being a good surprice as it was the best food on the table. Can tell nothing about the stuffed grape leaves as we never received them :( The wine was quite good and in proper temperature. The inexperienced girls serving tried to do their best with pleasant results. Some people might like its "alternative" interior which is nicely decorated and gives a sense of warmness. Overall it's a cute place, but the food quality is far from satisfactory.

Prices are quite high, the service was really slow and we had to wait quite long despite having a reservation. The food was OK, but subpar considering the price.
